The Phat Barbees are a six-piece group specializing in songs about nothing, evolution, carbon, girls, boys, ex-husbands, Russians, footwear, Central Park, hairpieces, diamonds, polyester suits and motorcycle grease. Writing and performing original songs in combination with cover songs of bands not nearly as famous as they are, their influences range from The Pixies, Bob Dylan and David Bowie to Arcade Fire and Lawrence Welk. The Barbees are known for their ability to do incredibly sophisticated dance routines that are so fast you never even notice them. The band is available for week-long cruises on very large private yachts, preferably in the Caribbean. Each member requires their own stateroom but actually playing is at the band's sole discretion.
